Phil and I love books. It became a joke with mum after we had come back from a day out. She would always say “so how many books did you buy?”. It is therefore only natural that we have visited Hay On Wye, known as the ‘Book Town’ and famous for its annual literature festival, on a few occasions now. Each of the numerous book shops has its own quirk but this one steals the quirky leader board with its outdoor location and self-service honesty box approach.
